Multi-entity trademark portfolio consolidation supporting global corporate restructuring

Client: a leading multinational group in adhesives, sealants, consumer and industrial products, operating in over 75 countries. The project was coordinated with the client’s international IP service provider.

Context

As part of an internal corporate restructuring, the client needed to consolidate key IP assets in Ukraine under a single primary operating entity. A portfolio of seven trademarks spanning adhesives, consumer goods, and industrial sectors was distributed across multiple group entities in different jurisdictions.

Our approach

We managed multilingual assignment deed preparation, navigated specialized notarization requirements for international corporate authorization chains, and ensured strict compliance with UANIPIO documentation standards. Close coordination with the client’s international counsel ensured the local transaction aligned with the global IP restructuring strategy.

Outcome

Trademark assignments were recorded with the UANIPIO without any objections. The client achieved a consolidated IP portfolio in Ukraine under a single operating entity within compressed timeframes aligned with the global restructuring schedule.
